  1. You might want to visit the Humble Store sometime today if you like free racing games. As part of the weekend sale on Bethesda and Codemasters titles, Humble Bundle's digital storefront is giving away F1 2015 for free. While F1 2015 received middling reviews at release, Codemasters has released numerous patches and additions to their racing title since then. If you've never played one of the F1 games or wanted to try them but didn't want to spend too much money... well, you can't beat free! The sale runs until March 26 and covers games like Overlord, Doom, and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. If you want to get your mitts on a free F1 racing game, you'll have to be a bit faster as that deal ends on March 24 at 10am PT/1pm ET. Remember that this month Extra Life is working with Humble Bundle as their featured charity for their bundles! So take some time to look through the bundles on offer for the next week or so and get some cool stuff while also supporting Extra Life! View full article

  5. There has been an ongoing Redbox game sale that will continue until May 8. Depending on availability at each individual kiosk, there is the potential to snag copies of Until Dawn for $18.99, The Order: 1886 for $5.99, or even Bloodborne for $8.99. The way to get in on the sweet deals pointed out by is a bit out of the ordinary, so bear with me. Not all kiosks that rent games are a part of the sale. In order to find out which ones are selling games, head over to this Redbox page and look up which ones are closest to you. There doesn't seem to be a way to see the inventory of these Redboxes individually, so those interested in finding something specific on sale will have to go to each Redbox in person. Prices are subject to vary by location as well as selection, so be prepared to swing by a few to see what they are offering. A few of the prices and games on sale have been reported by Cheap Ass Gamer, though other games could also be a part of the sale and prices might be different depending on kiosk location. Keep in mind that these games do not come with their original boxes. Adventure Time: Finn & Jake Investigations - PS4 - $8.99 Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate - PS4/XB1 - $28.99 Assassin’s Creed: Unity - PS4/XB1 - $8.99 Batman Arkham Knight - PS4/XB1 - $18.99 Battlefield Hardline - PS4/PS3/X360 - $5.99 Bloodborne - PS4 - $8.99 Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition - PS4/XB1 - $8.99 The Elder Scrolls Online - PS4/XB1 - $8.99 Fallout 3 - X360/PS3 - $8.99 Final Fantasy X/X-2 - PS4 - $8.99 God of War III Remastered - PS4 - $8.99 Halo: The Master Chief Collection - XB1 - $8.99 Just Cause 3 - PS4/XB1 - $28.99 Kung Fu Panda: The Showdown of Legendary Legends - PS4/XB1 - $8.99 Life is Strange - PS4/XB1 - $28.99 Mad Max - PS4/XB1 - $18.99 MLB The Show 15 - PS4/PS3 - $8.99 Mortal Kombat X - PS4/XB1 - $18.99 PayDay 2: Crime Wave Edition - PS4/XB1 - $5.99 Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell - PS3/X360 - $5.99 Saints Row Re-Elected - PS4/XB1 - $5.99 Sniper Elite III Afrika - PS4/XB1 - $8.99 Spongebob Heropants - X360 - $5.99 State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition - XB1 - $5.99 Tearaway - PS4 - $8.99 The Order: 1886 - PS4 - $5.99 Ultimate Action Triple Pack - PS3 - $5.99 Ultimate Stealth Triple Pack - PS3 - $5.99 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection - PS4 - $18.99 Until Dawn - PS4 - $18.99 The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - PS4/XB1 - $8.99

  7. The Humble Store carefully timed their sale this year to miss the massive onslaught of Steam and GOG bargains during the holiday rush. Their winter sale is definitely still occurring during the winter season, just with less competition. The sale goes from now until January 29th at 10am PST. While Steam might have forgone timed deals and surprises in favor of flatly exposing every discount from the start, Humble Store will be having a huge selection of on sale items from the start while also timing bargains that swap out every few days. Humble Store will also be offering 'build your own bundles' throughout the sale period, allowing customers to build bundles of games offered by select publishers and developers. 10% of the purchases made during the sale go to the charity of your choice. Unfortunately, we here at Extra Life don't quite have the systems in place for people to give to Extra Life (though that will definitely be coming in the near future). However, people can give to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, the parent charity of Extra Life, to at least tangentially support Extra Life's mission. If sorting through a list of 30,000 charities sounds like too much work, here is a direct referral link that will automatically select CMN Hospitals as your Humble charity of choice. What games have you been buying during the various winter sales late 2015 and early 2016?

  11. I just found this site IsThereAnyDeal.com You can search it for a game you want, and it will show you the lowest available price, even if it's in a bundle, and if there are discount codes available. I just bought $15 worth of DLC for a game for only about $4 on GreenManGaming and that was a sale price PLUS a discount code, and they included Steam keys. You can import your wishlists from various sites as well. Even better, there's a browser extension called Enhanced Steam It works in Firefox, Chrome and Opera, and I can tell you that the Firefox extension also works in Waterfox. It has so many features I can't list everything here, but my favorite, is it integrates the pricing from IsThereAnyDeal.com into Steam itself, so you can see the lowest currently available price, and if a Steam key comes with it as well. I have also noticed, if a game is available in a bundle right now, it will show that on the Steam page, so you can go buy the bundle instead. I'm always looking for useful things like this, so if anyone else knows of anything, let me know.
  12. For the next six days, GOG.com is running a sale for bundles of, you guessed it, good old games. The sale will see discounts on bundles of up to 85% off. It opens with the Hasbro RPG Bundle for 80% off (including Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale) and Lucasfilm point-and-click adventures at 75% off (Sam & Max Hit the Road, Secret of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis). Up to four new bundles will be revealed every day. Beyond that, the tower is a mystery, so expect to see more news, offers, and unexpected goodies to be dropping between now and Sunday. 18. Valve decided to send Steam Music into its public release yesterday. To celebrate the launch of the new service, they're offering a bunch of free soundtracks and a 75% off sale on a number of their titles. If you're wondering how to get your hands on Steam Music, just update the Steam client and look under the library tab or open Big Picture mode. Currently it does seem a bit difficult to add new music to the library, but Valve has promised to continue accepting feedback from the community and improving their newest feature. As for the sale, there are some great Valve titles for dirt cheap, so you all don't have an excuse to never have played Portal. Also, soundtracks are freely available from: Free to Play, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, and Portal 2. You can also find a ton of other great soundtracks at a low price on Steam. The sale ends on October 1st. If you're looking for a recommendation, I'm really loving the OST for Crypt of the Necrodancer. View full article
