  1. After Titan Comics' first Dark Souls comics series sold out not once, but twice (it is currently on its third printing), it was almost inevitable that Titan would release a new collection tied in with Dark Souls 3. Titled Dark Souls: Legends of the Flame #1, the anthology will feature the work of over six writers adding their own bits and pieces to the twisted, dying world of Dark Souls. Those writers include two returning writers George Mann (Doctor Who) and Alan Quah (Orphan Black) who will pen their tales alongside newcomers Dan Watters (Image Comics’ Limbo), Tauriq Moosa (The Guardian, Mary Sue), Damien Worm (The October Faction), Piotr Kowalski (The Dark Tower, Robocop) and more who haven't been announced yet. Dark Souls: Legends of the Flame #1 will come in several cover variations. Artistic talents from across the industry are lending their skills to illustrate the covers. These include: Alan Quah (Dark Souls), Tyler Crook (Harrow County), Robert Hack(Afterlife with Archie), Jana Heidersdorf and Nick Percival (Judge Dredd, Slaine). If you can't get enough Dark Souls, you don't have long to wait. Dark Souls: Legends of the Flame #1 will release on September 14. View full article

  3. Namco Bandai released the opening cinematic for Tekken 7, which will be hitting Japanese arcades next week. The cinematic showcases a climactic encounter between series staples Kazuya Mishima and his father, Heihachi Mishima. They battle in a volcano, because awesome. Then things get a little crazy. There is still no official word on when Tekken 7 will be released in North America, but there is some speculation that we will be seeing it on shelves later this year. Take that with a grain of salt.

  5. The venerable JRPG Tales series has been going strong for nearly 20 years now and to commemorate that achievement Namco Bandai revealed that the next Tales game, Tales of Zestiria, will be launching in both North America and Japan on the PlayStation 3. Not much information is currently available on Zestiria, however, we do know some intriguing tidbits. It is being developed under the supervision of Hikaru Kondo and the character designs will be handled by series designers Mutsumi Inomata, Kosuke Fujishima, Daigo Okumura, and Minoru Iwamoto. The logo for Zestiria seems to strongly imply that dragons will play an important role in the storyline. As of right now, there is no official word regarding a specific release date for Tales of Zestiria, but it is a safe bet that the title will drop sometime after Tales of Symphonia Chronicles (February 24, 2014) and Tales of Xillia 2 (unannounced date in 2014). There seems to have been a surge in the number of Tales games recently with sequels and spin-offs making frequent appearances. Do you think that this is a good thing or are you overwhelmed by the tide of 40-60 hour games? Let us know what you think! View full article

  7. Fans of ridiculously silly, over-the-top, crazy flight combat games rejoice! Namco Bandai Games has proclaimed that a new Ace Combat is on the way. Announced last Friday, we know only a few tantalizing tidbits. It will be available via PSN, but no other methods of distribution have been talked about, making it likely that it will be a downloadable only title. The new Ace Combat will take place in the real world and have something to do with meteors, a world war, and impractical super-weapons. You can watch the teaser trailer for yourself below. Ace Combat Infinity is projected to release on September 25, 2013.
