While walking through Microsoft's booth, I was approached and asked if I wanted to play Forza Horizon 3. I thought to myself, do I want to race expensive cars I will never own in places I will probably never travel to? Absolutely! So when I was escorted over to Forza, I expected to be handed a controller. Instead, I was entered a simulated driver's in front of a large flat screen TV. I started giggling uncontrollably, because this was possibly the coolest thing I had ever done. After they adjusted my seat to accommodate my shortness, I picked out the fastest car on the roster: the Lamborghini Centenario. Immediately I was racing three other cars through winding streets and long straightaways. The entire seat rumbled as I pushed the pedal to the floor, urging the car to go faster. I hit a high speed of 165 mph before I spun out at a sharp turn and crashed into the river. Just when I was getting the hang of the Centenario, I switched to a suped up Land Rover and took it off road. Dodging trees and kicking up dust, I drove down through a cave and exited out on the beach. I forgot I was supposed to be racing while going in and out of the waves. I took a corner to exit the beach, ready to drive the next car in the line up, but the demo ended. My heart sunk as I was told I had to get out of the seat. I didn't want to; I wanted to play more. The graphics and the engaging gameplay made it so easy to lose yourself into the Forza world. It made me think that I should consider a career in racing. Forza Horizon 3 releases on September 27, 2016 for the Xbox One. View full article
