  1. Here we are, getting ready for Extra-Life Game Day on November 5th! Could it be possible that you would be in need of extra saucy graphics to give some much needed flavor to your broadcast? Well if that is the case, I'm very happy to offer anybody in the Extra-Life community an opportunity to have quality graphics for their streams FOR FREE! Simply contact me as a reply to this thread with your Twitch channel URL and any preferred means of communication. (Now don't go putting your phone number or e-mail address in here you silly-bun; Twitter, Curse, Skype or Discord is more what I'm thinking of. You can also send your communication ID as a separate private message. STAY SAFE!!) I can do about any extend of regular twitch channel graphics : Banners, Panel art, Overlays, Camera Frame, etc. The only thing I cannot do in a timely manner is any form of animated graphics, video intros, or anything of the like. Still images are easy enough for me to produce to be able to deliver within a few days at most. Also; please note that if the response to this gesture of good will is unbelievably large, I'll have to resort to putting people on "Wait Lists" and I'll do as much as can until Game Day so that as many of you as possible have their new graphics elements ready for the great day and have you look dapper as you collect these handy donations that you wonderful people work so hard for! So Kudos to every single one of you Miracle-cakes for being part of a wonderful initiative, and make it quick, November 5th is here REAL SOON! Game on bros! -VinceInTheNorth
  2. Hi! So are there any resources we can use when we are making our extra life posters? Like a high quality png or something. Or a catch phrase that we should always include and stuff like that. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hey All, If you were at the meeting, or if you have looked at the meeting notes (which will be posted soon, I swear!), then you know were looking at making our own T-Shirts to wear while were volunteering! The rules and regulations are below: Logo use Guidelines All colors and fonts used in the logo are the same as found in the brand guidelines. Please do not use other colors or fonts. A copy is included in the logo template zip file. Use your approved Guild City Name only. No abbreviations, alternate names, or other titles. Aside from minor adjustments for the purpose of alignment; please do not reposition any of the items in the template. Please do not remove or resize any of the primary elements in the template including the Extra life logo, “Official Guild” and “Be a Hero for the Kids” Please use only the dark blue color for your customized area. This helps lend a consistent look and feel across all logos. Do not use any trademarked, copyright protected or other intellectual property when customizing your Guild’s Logo. Video Game characters for example should not be used. They are protected by copyright and require specific written permission to use. Please do not use your hospital’s logo inside the Guild Logo. Logo Placement Guidelines T-shirts: Preferred placement on T-shirts is full front placement although full back is acceptable if the front is left blank. Tips Keep in mind how you plan on using the logo. Different sizes and mediums will alter how your design looks. Try not to overload your customization with elements that will vanish or appear distorted when scaled up or down to fit a purpose. If you are using clip art, be sure it is high quality and high resolution. Poor quality clip art will negatively impact your final design. If you print your logo on a white shirt or background it may save on printing costs as the shirt will replace a 4th color in the design. These usage guidelines, and tons of resources: If you want to submit a design, just post it here. Feel free to comment about other designs, and suggestion improvements or support for your favorite! Once we all have a favorite we'll send it off to the hospital and extra life for approval!
  4. Hey Fellow LA Guilders! Please help send me to E3 by voting for my shirt design! By miracle, it was selected as one of the finalists for Extra Life's Platinum Award shirt design contest! To vote for my "Retro Badge," just "Like" on Facebook! CLICK HERE TO VOTE My eternal thanks, -Jen
  5. My team and I are preparing to start our fundraising efforts for this year's Extra Life and I was hoping to get help from someone on bettering our team's logo. I named our team after my nephew, Dominic, who was diagnosed from muscular dystrophy about three years ago. Shortly after his diagnosis, I paid him a visit and got to spend some time with him (my sister and her family live in another state), and snapped a photo of him playing with a wooden sword my mom had bought him. He's a fan of video games and we play together every time I get to visit - at that time, he was beginning to discover the Legend of Zelda games, hence the sword. I snapped a photo of him just as he struck a pose a la Link, and it's one of my favorites today. My nephew's MD has since progressed to the point that he's now in a wheelchair, but he still loves to game. I opted to use the photo I took in 2013 as our team's logo the following year, because it represented what I think Extra Life stands for - hope, strength and courage. I utilized Photoshop to apply a sketch filter to the original photo, which allowed me to somewhat convert the it into a makeshift drawing. That required a bit of erasing in Photoshop, plus some printing of the semi-finished product, outlining by hand, then re-scanning and touching up the photo again. I am sure there are easier and better ways to do what I did, but my Photoshop skills are limited to re-sizing, cropping and minor color correcting. My question to the forum then, is whether there is another way to do this in order to make the graphic more stylized, professional or look cleaner, using the original photo as a source. I have attached the original photo, plus a photo of our T-shirts, which we've been using since 2014, as a reference to show you all what I'm talking about. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, as I'm hoping to give my nephew a revised version of the T-shirt this year once they are made. On behalf of Team Dom/Nation, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
