If I missed something obvious, plz send me the link. Everything on the Extra Life page says tax receipts are sent for donations over $250. I'm running a game day where the public is invited for $5/person. If someone pays cash and I fill out the form (or enter the donation in the online form), will they get an IRS receipt? I got an emailed receipt for a $20 online donation last year. I wish this was written out a lot clearer. What is the best practice so the donor gets their tax credit? Even for smaller cash donations thanks!

Hi all. I have found older posts about sending offline donations via the web and have previously sent checks from coworkers with the offline donation form with no problems. However, I have recently received my first cash donation from a coworker which I have added to the offline donations on my page. I don't trust sending cash via mail as it's too easy for someone unscrupulous to steal it in transit, so I was wondering if she will still get the credit if I send her donation via a check from my own bank account and list her name on the memo. I don't want to make it an online donation, as I would like for her to be able to see her name on the donor list if she visits my fundraising page, and I'm not worried about it showing in my totals before game day. Thanks in advance for any help!
