In a message delivered via Nintendo's Facebook page, famed designer Shigeru Miyamoto announced that perhaps the projected release date for holiday 2015 for Star Fox Zero was a bit too rosy. Apologizing to fans excited for a winter release, Miyamoto stated that more time would be needed to properly polish what work remains to be done on the title. Specifically he lists level designs and cutscenes as areas that need the extra time. The Wii U title could be released this year, but it isn't quite up to his exacting standards. Star Fox Zero has been officially delayed until spring 2016. Below you can read his announcement and apology in full.

Late last Friday, 343's Bonnie Ross released a community update on the Halo Waypoint blog to give a big thank you for the support that Halo: The Master Chief Collection has received from the community. This comes after the title has endured months of multiplayer issues that have ranged from rendering it unplayable for weeks to the downright buggy. More important than the apology, which is nice, but considered to be almost a formality at this point, is the promise that Ross made to support those who bought the game prior to December 19th. Customers who fall into that category can expect to get the following for free: One month of Xbox Live Gold Exclusive In-Game Nameplate Exclusive In-Game Avatar The Halo 3: ODST campaign, which is still in development. The finished product should run at a 1080p resolution and 60fps. People who buy after December 19 will have to purchase this separately. Regardless of purchase date, Bonnie Ross also stated that the fan favorite Relic map from Halo 2: Anniversary will be added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Players can expect that the newly remastered version will hold a few tweaks and performance upgrades. Ross ended her statement by apologizing for the problems that have plagued the release for the last month and firmly committed 343 to the happiness of their customers. "The satisfaction and joy of our fans is absolutely critical to everyone at 343 Industries," she said, "we regret the issues and the frustration you have endured. We are truly sorry and thank you for your continued patience and support of the Halo franchise." View full article
