  1. Due to the recent news of our Facebook Group disappearing, I thought now would be a good time to point out just how easy it is to set up notifications on the forums. This will help with our total migration off of Facebook. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to customize your notifications and make it super easy to keep up with everything Extra Life and Guild related! 1) Create a username. Remember, your donation page login is separate! 2) Once you're logged in and browsing the forums, click the "Follow This" at the top right of any content. The button should change to "Following". Make sure to follow our forum. 3) Once you're following a piece of content, click the button again to bring up even more options. From here you can quickly change how you want your notifications sent. 4) If you want to go into even greater detail, click "Change how the notification is sent". You can customize almost every single notification to be sent as either an alert, email, etc. 5) Finally, make sure to follow our calendar. It can be found at the top of our forums. You'll be alerted when new events are added and you can even sync it with services like iCalendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, etc. And that's it! Two big things to do 1) Follow our forum & 2) Follow our calendar. Hope this helps! Also, remember that you can browse the forums on mobile. The site scales very well on all devices and can be very useful for those of us on the go! Or if you prefer to use apps. You can download the Tapatalk app for iOS or Android and search for "Extra Life Community". If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me, @MajorLinux or @SobeDog007!

Great news! The fine folks at the East Coast Game Conference have invited us to be a part of their event. ECGC returns for it's eighth year in Raleigh and is the largest gathering of gaming professionals on the east coast. This year's featured speaker is the one and only, Warren Spector! We're currently looking for volunteers for the three day convention. Please look at the schedule below and let us know when you could come help out. We will do our best to help break-up the work and take shifts. 12. Team, Just wanted to share a few thoughts on what we've been able to accomplish for Extra Life and Duke Children's Hospital in 2015. First off, thank you! Seriously. This wouldn't have been possible without you. This is only the second year for the guild program in the Raleigh/Durham area, but what we've been able to accomplish in that short time has been extraordinary. Not only have we raised a ton of money for the kids, we've built relationships with important partners like Microsoft, Red Storm Entertainment, Boxcar, Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, just to name a few. We've worked hard to make ourselves more visible in the community and because of this, we've earned a reputation. This is what I'm the most proud of. It feels fantastic to be approached by other organizations who have heard about the great work we're doing for Duke Children's Hospital. Year to date, through all our various efforts, you've helped us raise an astounding $91,711. Incredible. We've almost doubled our entire fundraising from last year. Thank you, so much. We're going to take the next couple of months to enjoy some well earned relaxation, but fear not, we will kick off 2016 with a bang! Our first meeting will be on March 1st. During this meeting will be doing a detailed re-cap of last year, our wins, opportunities and our goals for 2016. In addition, we will also be holding an election for leadership positions. So if you want to become more involved with us, start putting your resume and ideas together! Finally, I want to wish you all a safe and enjoyable holiday! I hope Santa brings you lots of gaming goodies and you're able to take some time with your family, friends and enjoy this time of year. Many thanks, -Andrew xoxo
