  1. until

Fun times! Glad we got to destroy some kids!
  2. until

Got sick this weekend from my friend's kid at my birthday party and still feeling gross
  3. I'll be there....... bright and early..... I did find my bocce set and will be bringing some other games too.
  4. If we have a table there are a lot of good dexterity games out there that could be fun. Jenga, Bamboleo, etc. I think I have a Bocce set around here somewhere too.
  5. until

Looks like there was a little mix-up with the times, and the email invite went out with a start time of 6:30. So we've moved the starting time on this event to 6:30 to match.

Nah it's pretty casual, don't worry!
  7. I am still playing a lot of Rocket League. But recently I played through Life is Strange, a weird indie narrative adventure game about a teenage girl who can rewind time. It was really excellent, and really sucked me into the story. Might be my Game of the Year for 2015.
  8. I have had a few questions about registering for Extra Life as an international gamer and have not been sure how to answer them. The FAQ basically just says that they can't send checks to foreign hospitals, but I found a blog post from 2013 about how a couple hospitals in the US and Canada have a large international outreach where people from all over the world come for treatment. Has there been any update on this? How best can someone who lives outside the US/Canada but is interested in registering for Extra Life contribute? What international support options are available?
  9. Haha it's ok, it happens. I have been completely sucked in by The Talos Principle. It's like a harder Portal. Really great and challenging puzzles, some of them are incredibly tricky. I installed it on Saturday night at midnight when I was already feeling kinda tired just to check it out, and played until 6 am!
  10. Update: The show starts tomorrow. We have a few full weekend passes and a few single day passes as consolation for not having space for us. Kids 10 & under get in free with an adult. If you get one you will need to pick it up at the SPECIAL GUESTS/PRESS booth in the main ticketing area with photo ID. We are not allowed to pass out flyers to random people or anything, as it's too close to the show to secure permission and marketing is something other partners have paid for. But you are encouraged to wear an Extra Life shirt and talk to other guests about it. I will probably take some flyers in my bag and give them to anyone I talk to that seems interested, just can't be handing them out to whoever walks by. If you're interested in a pass, post here with the type of pass you want (weekend or single day) and your full name on your photo ID and we'll see what we can do. Update: The show starts tomorrow. 11. I am still working out the details of the event with the staff, there have been a lot of staff changes over the past couple months and they have been really busy with other shows. But I believe they plan on us being part of their "Gaming Zone", which I think is just an area with lots of games set up and they may run tournaments or something. Hopefully it won't be too far from regular convention foot traffic, since as we've seen before, people who are on their way to play games RIGHT NOW are not generally too interested in stopping to talk with us. To help combat that, we're hoping to have a couple retro gaming consoles set up at the event. I know Kate has a Retron, not sure what games. I have a Wii U I can bring and can load up on some Virtual Console games (can also bring Smash Bros if we get people interested in that). If you have a retro console or games you'd be willing to bring or let us borrow for the event, let us know!
  12. Rocket League has local split screen multiplayer!
  13. Thought it would be fun to see what games everyone is playing. This week (and the past few weeks honestly...) I've been completely absorbed in Rocket League when I haven't been working on my own games. It is ridiculously fun flying around trying to play soccer with rocket-powered cars. Other than that, my friends and I usually get together for scary games on Tuesdays and I think we're starting Resident Evil Revelations this week.
  14. I have been pretty busy after the previous meetings doing some game development contests but hoping I should have more time after this one to play some games or something. My vote is for Victory Pointe!
  15. We will be having our next monthly meeting on Saturday, May 23rd at the Carnegie Coffee Company at 11:00 AM. The address is 132 E Main St, Carnegie, PA 15106. Please feel free to come join us and see what the guild is up to!
