This past weekend, I spent several hours running an Extra Life booth at a local comic convention in Branson, MO. I setup an Xbox One with Rocket League for people to play 1v1 matches and I gave out tons of Children's Miracle Network bracelets and coozies. I talked to a bunch of people who have never heard of Extra Life and every one of them was thrilled that there is a charity that allows them to help local children while playing games. This weekend was probably one of the best experiences I've ever had. I heard several stories of how CMN has helped children in my community and surrounding communities, I met many new friends, and I met several vendors and community members that were more than willing to help with the goal of Extra Life. I just wanted to share my experience with this convention and I wanted to encourage anyone that has thought about recruiting and/or talking at their local conventions for Extra Life to go for it. I was so extremely nervous about getting this all put together but now that it's all over, I am much more excited for the next convention and to talk to more people about Extra Life. If anyone has any questions about putting a small booth together or how to get started, feel free to ask in this post or send me a direct message. I am more than happy to help however I can!
