  1. I just wanted to say welcome to all the new attendees, and welcome back to the Extra Lifers from last year! I'll be traveling from Wisconsin, with my wife and 3 of my 4 kids. We're planning on turning the week of ELU into a family vacation, to escape the northern cold. See you in February!
  2. And I see that this question has indeed been asked and answered:
  3. I apologize if this has been asked and answered elsewhere. Last year, if we had our Twitter account linked, our donation link would be tweeted out whenever we received a donation. This year, the link is to the Extra Life home page. Is there a way we can customize the message and/or link that gets tweeted? I would think that tweeting a link to our direct donation page would result in more donations than a link to the EL home page. Thanks!
  4. Thanks, Rick. And thanks for the shout out on the Extra Life Facebook page!
  5. Team: BlizzPro Location and hospital: Varied Looking forward to growing our team and having an awesome year!
  6. On August 7, 2014, I issued a challenge. If my Extra Life team could raise $2,000, I would dress up as Elsa from Frozen, and lip sync Let It Go. The community rose to the challenge, and a promise is a promise. Not sure how I'm going to top this, this year, but I'm open to suggestions.
  7. I was thinking of starting a thread for everyone to list their teams, in case any solo Lifers were looking for one to join. Is there already a a thread for this anywhere? I used the forum search but came up empty. Also, maybe that's the type of thread that the EL team would want to post themselves and make sticky? Just getting a feel for what's cool and what's not, before creating one myself.
  8. My name is Tim Wells. I'll be there with my wife and daughter! We are from Altoona, Wisconsin, and this is our second year playing for St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin, which is where my daughter was diagnosed with, and treated for, Crohn's Disease. I am NOT an awesomely OP gamer, but I AM force-sensitive and will be using my Jedi powers to bedazzle and amaze. Or something. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
  9. Oh, wow. I so wish I had known about this earlier. Nice work! Will be sure to use it in future streams.
  10. I'm trying to talk my wife into coming with me. I was looking at the FAQ and it says that the $250 guest fee includes "food (breakfast and lunch on the 12th and 13th) and a pass to attend Momentum and watch the tournament." Does this include the concert? I'd just like to get a good idea of what she would have access to before she commits to going. Thanks!
  11. Pre-ordered and looking forward to playing it. I believe my pre-order is for the Xbox One. What version is everyone else picking up?
  12. It's amazing to read all these personal stories. So many reasons to do what we do.
  13. My team is currently at 145% of our $1,000 goal. I made my team (and donators) a deal: if we can get to 200% of this year's goal, I will dress up as Elsa from Disney's Frozen, do a lip sync performance of Let It Go, and upload the video proof to YouTube. I have no doubt we'll double our goal. My friends, family, co-workers, and teammates are disturbingly interested in getting me into that dress.
