    I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with this. If this hasn't been resolved please let me know! 

    Our Canadian Hospitals/Foundations send these receipts directly, though if you were able to share which foundation you are waiting to hear from I can definitely expedite.

I always use my gamer tag, yet it said that link name was not available. So I had to add an S at the end. However when I checked the link it said it was not in use. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I might be able to fix it?

    We do experience an incredible increase in support tickets this time of year, but we are working through them as quickly as possible. Last week being a national US holiday doesn't help either! 


    Regarding your question, refunds can be requested and fulfilled. We'll get to things situated, promise!

    Participation and fundraising for Extra Life can happen any day, any time! Our hospitals and kiddos need the support 365 days a year, so there is no reason why you can't play games #ForTheKids at any time! We do have days or times where we rally the community, but many people plan their own events to suit their schedules.

However... it seems like processing fees are scaling to the amount donated.  Someone donated $200 and the processing fee displayed as $14.  My friend tested a $50 donation and the processing fee was $3.50.  This is not appealing to my donors!     Thanks for your question! Processing fees on the platform are based on the amount of the actual donation, though payment of those fees are always 100% optional on the part of the donor. Regardless of whether fee is paid or not, the receiving hospital will always see 100% of the intended donation.

    Thanks for the message. Adjusting the Platinum account is a manual process and as you can imagine our support team is experiencing high volumes of requests. While we cannot promise that you will receive your shirt in time for Game Day we can help you get it sooner. If you send a request for an status update to support@extra-life.org they should be able to get you an ETA on the whole situation.

I know the tax deductions may not be available in that case but the Facebook fundraising tool is extremely effective. Every one I have seen from my friends list makes its goal. 


    It's not recommended that you collect funds in that manner but to use the the participant page or the mobile fundraising application to engage your friends and family! We realize the appeal and are looking into the possibility of using the Facebook fundraising integration for future campaigns.

    When using streampro.io the extra life theme had the color number saved into it but that program is no more. I'm trying to configure all my widgets and there are so many places to put in an html color code. I'm color deficient so it's challenging. Thanks in advance.

    Send a message to support@extra-life.org OR select the Province or State of one our international hospitals: Ontario (SickKids), Massachusetts (Boston Children's) or District of Columbia (Children's National).

    So sorry you have had some trouble! The website revamp DID move somethings around. You can edit the URL by logging in and going to "Your Page" > click the "Settings" tab just below your profile pic and thermometer > "customize" to adjust your URL.

    So I've recently gotten into training for the RunDisney 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon Star Wars themed weekend at Walt Disney World in April 2020.  These races (all of the RunDisney ones) sell out pretty quickly.  Disney will keep registration open through charity partners, though (CMN already is a sponsor of the Princess Run at WDW).  Basically when the runs sell out, they allow the charity to still access spots in the race.  A registrant can select said charity, fundraise X dollars, pay the registration fee, and everyone wins.  The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society is such a charity.  If you missed the registration deadline, and want to do the 5K, you can register with them, pay the fee as a participant, and raise funds through the charity.  Some of these donations are as high as $4,500.  Any way we can get on board with this program?

    RunDisney IS actually utilized by CMN Hospitals > https://www.rundisney.com/princess-half-marathon/. Extra Life works a bit differently, being a fundraising program for CMN Hospitals as opposed to being it's own charity that would qualify for the RunDisney event. Thanks for the feedback, we like where you head's at!

I checked and the hospital is actually a part of the Children's Miracle Network. I was wondering if it was possible to switch the hospital getting my donations once I've already registered for 2018. I didn't see any question like this in the FAQ or any option to do so in my account settings. Is it too late at this point? I am part of a team, so can I not switch if I'm a member of a team? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.


    You can switch hospitals, definitely! 


    Just send a message to support@extra-life.org with the new hospital you would like to change over too!

    Thanks for the heads up, it's likely due to the fact that while CMN Hospitals has the rights to use that music, others do not. I've removed it from the Broadcasting kit. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    We definitely appreciate the cautious attitude and questions. Regarding how Extra Life functions, it is as we say, the hospital sees the entirety of the donations made to it's participants. 


    The amount of the donation made to an Extra Life participant is always made to the hospital that they support! The fee is not deducted from the donation, but covered by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. 


    The $19 fee to upgrade your account helps offset the cost of the actual incentives you receive when you reach fundraising milestones (t-shirt, sticker, medals, etc).
