    Houston April Meeting

    until
This is our official kickoff meeting! Welcoming new players into the Houston Guild and getting a start on the year! Extra Life Houston Guild is dedicated to spreading the word about Extra Life and getting more Houstonians involved and participating, ultimately increasing the money raised in support of local children in the hospital. We want to discuss the game plan for some of our upcoming events and detail how you can get involved! You don't need to be a veteran or participated in Extra Life to attend, but we would love to have you and get you involved. All you need is a love for life and video games! We'll be meeting at the Texas Children's Hospital Meyer Building location (1919 S. Braeswood), the building is near the corner of S. Braeswood and Greenbriar and the entrance is on S. Braeswood. There is a parking garage next to the building that you can park in. When you get to the entrance, press the button on the gate box and let security know you're there for the Extra Life meeting and they will let you in. The security guard at the front desk will be able to let you know where we are meeting. Food is provided! Social time is the first 30 minutes, with business afterwards until it's all discussed. If you have any questions, comments, or ideas to contribute, feel free to post them up. Thank you everyone and I hope to see you all there!
  3. Welcome!! So, let me introduce myself, I'm Anthony Carbone and I'm new to the leadership here in the Houston Guild. I have lived in Houston for nearly 18 years now and went to school at the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) to study Mechanical Engineering. I work at GHG Corporation as a Flight Controller in support of the International Space Station. I live with my wife in the Webster area (Southeast Greater Houston Area) and love video games and helping kids! The Houston Guild is off to a good start this year and we're hoping to get more engaged with our guild members, the community, and potential players more than ever!! To this we're going to be reaching out via email to the players supporting Texas Children's Hospital more regularly and with more information about how to be active in the area. To do this, we've created a Houston Guild specific Discord channel where we'll coordinate our event outings, post meeting minutes, do call-in meetings for those who can't make the commute, and socialize and with one another! Please follow this link to our server. https://discord.gg/A3x6GDV Additionally, we also post to our Houston Guild Facebook group located here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ELGHouston/ Please use this to RSVP to our events. Although, we're looking to provide additional calendar invites in other forms such as a Google Calendar invite so that you can track the events more easily on your phones and computers outside of Facebook. I've attached our latest meeting minutes here in case anybody wants to read up on our plans this year. I hope to get a lot of participation and I'm really excited about this year! Let's make this the year Houston rises to the top again. I'm available to talk with anybody if they'd like, please reach out via email or phone (text please). Thank you all for your continued dedication to the kids! Anthony Carbone anthony.d.car@gmail.com 713-992-0007 March Meeting Mintues.pdf
