    Hello all, I've been video gaming for over nearly thirty years, collecting games and systems long the way: everything from classics like 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis, to more obscure systems like Virtual Boy, Pong clones, and the Astrocade. I've also been recently getting into tabletop gaming. While I've known about Extra Life for a few years now, this is the first time I'm trying to get involved. I'm also looking for some advice on running a large-scale event. I work at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia (you may know us from the Mütter Museum), and I am exploring the possibility of hosting an EL event at the College. We have tons of event space and I am eager to fill those spaces with games, all the better if it is for a good cause. I just wanted to get some advice/tips about hosting an event. I'm sure many people do them on their own or with groups of friends but have any of you host any kind of large-scale event? I'm excited to be a part of the cause. Even if I don't host something for work, I'd like to do something on my own.

    Victoria Enmon was an amazing little girl. She demonstrated love and compassion to others around her as much as she possibly could. Whether being thrown into the air at cheer leading practice or battling cancer, she never stopped supporting the people whose lives she touched. In the words of her parents, Vic and Jo Ellen Enmon, she flew. Today would have been Victoria's 27th birthday. "She wasn't afraid of heights. In fact, she wasn't really afraid of anything." - Jo Ellen Enmon At a little over 11 years old, Victoria was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and it would be something she fought for the rest of her life. While she battled her condition, undergoing multiple transplants and treatments, she never let it break her spirits. Even while sick, Extra Life's founder, Jeromy "Doc" Adams recalls her as "the kind of kid you could hear coming before long before she got to your soundproof studio." It also never stopped her from giving all of herself over to helping people without hesitation. At Camp Periwinkle, a summer camp for children with cancer, one of her doctors holds onto the memory of her helping another girl suffering from both cystic fibrosis and cancer. That little girl needed extra help to get ready to experience camp each day, and throughout that week Victoria came to help. Victoria made sure that her fellow camper would get to have an unforgettable camp experience. No one asked her to, she just did it. As she entered what would be her final stay in a hospital, Jeromy Adams began working with Sarcastic Gamer to get her some games to help her pass the time during her treatments. The overwhelming response consisted of more games than her family could handle. Of course, Victoria started giving them away to other kids in the hospital. That impulse to give everything to those around her, that was just the kind of person she was. "You know, here she is, lying up in bed tubes connected to her. She didn't go and cry about it or bemoan her situation. She went around to all these other kids to make them feel better. I think that's really the legacy of her." - Vic Enmon From 11 years old until 15 years old, Victoria never stopped fighting, not even when she contracted a fungal infection due to her compromised immune system. She passed away on January 21, 2008, finally resting from her battle against leukemia, failed transplants, and infections. But that's not the end of her story. To keep her spirit alive and make sure that everyone knows how amazing she was, Jeromy Adams started Extra Life that same year. On october 13, 2008, over 1,200 people showed up to support children like Victoria. It has grown every year since and has now raised over $50 million to help sick and injured kids across the United States and Canada. One of Victoria's last wishes was to see Christmas lights. The final time he saw her, Victoria, her parents, and Jeromy all stepped outside to see the lights glow in the dark. "We were only outside for about 10 minutes. There wasn't a lot of talking. We just looked at lights," Jeromy remembers. Victoria isn't gone. She's become like those lights, shining brightly in the dark, touching more lives with comfort and love with each passing year. She's able to do that through all of us working to keep that fearless and caring spirit alive. Happy birthday Victoria. We're doing our best. For The Kids

    I joined Extra Life 3 years ago on a whim just to see if I could do the 24 hour gaming challenge. After that game day I got a message to join the local guild. I did that and from there found the twitch side of EL. I applied to become a mod and have met so many incredible people and have accomplished alot. It's done wonders for my mental health alone. But then last november I learned about Maddox. Maddox was a local teenager who had terminal cancer and wanted to do his own "game day stream" to help raise money. His goal was to be remembered as a champion and not just another kid with cancer. I, with the help of guild president Richard Moser (Yinz all know him, haha), got him up and running on Twitch. Along with the help of several other Extra-Lifers we were able to help Maddox raise over $16k, a record for our hospital. On my game day I had a donation incentive to get an Extra Life tattoo. Mid January Maddox bravely lost his fight and I knew what I wanted my tattoo to be. Maddox is why I Extra Life now. His Twitch name was MadGhost0821. AshleyAwoww, a stream team member, was the one who drew this up and I just got it on Friday.

    Hello everyone! This is my first post to the Extra Life community but I'm a long-time lurker and 3rd year Extra Lifer. This year my team is hosting the first-ever (that we know of) official Extra Life race on iRacing for game night. We're calling it the Extra Life 150 and it will be held at the Lucas Oil Raceway for the Late Model on November 3rd.     Hey everyone! I just released a new version that allows you to do a test donation alert so you can see how it will look / sound in your stream when you're setting things up. In the new ExtraLifeHelper.html file, change the new testDonationSeconds value to something other than zero. When the Helper loads up, it will show a test donation that many seconds later. Don't forget to set it back to zero when you're done testing. Latest version is v2.2. and can be downloaded here: https://github.com/breadweb/extralifehelper @MaelstromALPHA, this is something you and others requested.

You can edit the URL by logging in and going to "Your Page" > click the "Settings" tab just below your profile pic and thermometer > "customize" to adjust your URL. Let me know if this helps!

Are you using the latest download version (https://github.com/breadweb/extralife-helper/releases/tag/3.0) or a link generated using the new form on http://breadweb.net/extralife-helper.html? The default startDate and startTime in the download version are set to those values and appear to be working fine.

Mike is building us a new wheel (Yay Mike!) in the meantime we do have a new rainbow wheel so this means in the future we will have two wheels to work with when planning events! There will be a new form on Timecounts for equipment sign out, Artem our amazing quartermaster will be checking this. If you want to have something for a local event you will use this form to request/sign-out whatever you need here. You will need to place address in so Artem may bring equipment to you - please remember this is first come first serve and convention events get first dibs During this meeting we discussed the importance of Table setup and having a good Pitch. When setting up your table first thing you will do is place table cloth down (at the end of the day most items can be stored under the table the table cloth will help conceal these things) try and center the logo when placing the cloth down it should fit well on most 6 to 8 foot tables Unpack the 3 large and 2 Medium clear baskets and place them in the center of the table, placing the wheel and a display case on either side of the baskets. These items will help draw in people, the wheel especially! Front baskets get candy and the back baskets get bracelets and pins. Setup the Extra life Banner next to the table placement is key so make sure you still have a view of the room and people still have a view of you. (This banner as of right now has a bit of misinformation that can scare people off "Stream for 24 hours" that 24 hour part can scare people so do not forget in your pitch to include that it can be done in any time frame!) Please remember for the wheel one spin only! Take any prizes/swag we are giving away and place them in the display case (Please note not every convention will have raffles/giveaways) do try to tailor items in box for the event this will help gain more interest! Place the donation jar on the table within reach and in a place you may keep an eye on in please remember that not all conventions will allow donations at the table. If the convention does allow donations at the start of the day slip a few bills/change into the jar this will encourage people to donate. If you are at a event where we are not allowed to take donations at the table and someone wishes to give cash there, take the money and safely tuck it away into the lock-box. (this should be kept under the table in the blue bin) or open your extra life page and have them donate electronically there! Tablets are used for sign up make sure these are charged during the event! (Remember to lock these up at night.) Keep track of signups! Using not only a paper tally of sign ups but the clicker as well! (the clicker is fun seriously! give it a try!) If you have room on your table depending on the size place out the pamphlet stands! We have two types of pamphlets one that goes over Participation and Volunteering! Make sure to place out the Participation one! (They look really similar.) They Grey stand includes all items you may need during the event promotional materials, markers, raffle tickets, guild information Tips for Pitching: Greet everyone when they pass by some people will say hello, smile and keep walking, some will have ignored you, some people will be off in their own world. It is important to keep a smile on your face no matter how many grumpy gusses ignore your friendly hello. When someone does show interest (usually in the wheel) ask if they know about extra life - explain if they seem interested! Remember try not to say it is 24 hour stream, that length of time can scare people away. A good example would be "One day a year where gamers of all kinds, video, table top, board games, sports, you name it, stream, play, record for a cause. Some people go that entire 24 hours but me myself and a few friends break it down to 4 hours. The fundraising doesn't even have to be all in one day, anyone can donate to your extra life page at any time throughout the year." Best tip of all: wear comfortable shoes we do not always have enough chairs for everyone to sit, so make sure your shoes are comfortable for standing for long periods, as well as a pitch tends to go better and feel more comfortable when you are at eye level with the person/persons you are speaking with.     Hi guys, is your game day over and you are feeling the withdrawals? You may have seen the article from the main Extra Life feed on Grunka Munka Games (here). This small, local studio is full of Extra Lifers who are living the dream of working on video games all day, and spent Game Day with the Seattle Guild at Seattle Children's Hospital raising money #ForTheKids! They just released their first game and as part of their launch plan, want to bring it in a CUSTOM arcade cabinet to the Alyssa Burnett Center in Bothell. They could use some help, so if you have time, give a read to this message from their Marketing Officer Ray. If you are interested in helping out, you can contact them directly at contactus@grunkamunka.com. "We are a video game studio in Seattle and are working with Seattle Children's Hospital to build two custom arcade cabinets (similar to the one in the attached photo) for their Alyssa Burnett Adult Life Center (ABC). It's a center that "offers year-round classes and activities for adults, age 18 or older, with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities". We plan to build both arcade cabinets, install internal game consoles (Nintendo Switch & Xbox One, possibly PC as well), pre-load them with games, deliver them to ABC, and paint the arcade cabinets with the students of ABC. After that, ABC will keep one of the arcade cabinets for their students to enjoy and be able to auction off the other to raise funds for ABC / Seattle Children’s Hospital. We hope to make the delivery/painting event(s) as positive and impactful as possible. We also hope to incorporate Xbox Adaptive Controllers into the system so people with physical limitations can use the system with ease. We hope to partner with literally anyone who wants to be involved to make this effort possible and are more than happy for them to have a presence throughout the process. Our biggest need is any hardware/software that anyone would be able to provide. If that's possible, that would great. If not, that’s ok too. For anyone who is able to be involved and/or join us during our event(s), we would be delighted to have their help.     Hey guys! I wanted to share an idea that one of my guild members did over the past weekend. She contacted one of those painting party places and was able to setup a party that benefited Extra Life! Those seem to be popular activities this year, so I suggest reaching out in your local area. She was able to raise a little bit and is planning on expanding it for next year! So if you aren't sure on how to push the fundraising bar up, think outside the box!!!

    The deep sea survival game Subnautica is free for a limited time through the Epic Games Launcher. This follows closely on the heels of Epic's announcement of an Epic digital distribution service that begins with their launcher. And even better? Epic says they will be releasing a free game every two weeks until the end of 2019! Subnautica debuted to the world four years ago as an Early Access title through Steam. After years of additional development, the seafaring title released fully in January of this year. The game places players in a dire survival scenario: Their spaceship has crashed, seemingly with all hands either lost or dead. Players end up having to fend for themselves on an uncharted ocean world. Securing resources, salvaging gear, upgrading equipment, researching upgrades, and constructing a base of operations all become engrossing activities. It only recently launched on consoles, and unfortunately the free version seems to be exclusive to PC for now. Announced via Epic Games, the company has launched its year-long free game service with Subnautica, an offer which will disappear on December 27 to be replaced by a new free title. The service itself is free - all that you need to do to download the free biweekly game is to download the Epic Games Launcher and download the free title from there. From that point on, it's yours to keep with no strings attached. While a schedule of the games coming to the platform have yet to be announced, we do know that the next game heading to Epic users for free will be Team Meat's classic platformer Super Meat Boy. This move to distribute free games doesn't come out of the goodness of Epic Games' heart, however. The company is making an effort to capitalize on the 200 million people who play Fortnite through their service, a number that absolutely dwarfs juggernauts of the industry like Steam, which boasted a record 18.5 million users in January of this year. If even 10% of Epic's user base begins to use Epic Games as their go-to digital platform of choice, things could really begin to shake up in the slowly crowding digital distribution market. Undoubtedly, the allure of free games for an entire year will keep people opening up the Epic Games platform and building a collection of titles that could potentially include a few games they picked up on the storefront beyond the free games. It's a perfect way to rope in people who are already playing Fortnite and bring in new blood who want free games. Overall, this will likely accelerate some degree of competition between the biggest digital storefronts like Steam, Good Old Games, and Origin. With free games bringing in users and a better cost sharing arrangement than other platforms, Epic really does have a shot at securing a spot as not one of the most used but the most used digital games platforms in the world. This could be the beginning of an entirely different digital ecosystem. Be sure to grab Subnautica on PC before December 27! Don't forget to sign up for Extra Life to help sick and injured kids in hospitals around the US and Canada by playing games!

    MAGFest is the most targeted event hosted in the Baltimore/D.C. Metro area, with 20-25,000 attendees - all of whom have a love for gaming! To read more about MAGFest, check out this article on Wikipedia or the MAGFest site for Super MAGFest. MAGfest and their gracious charity coordinator went above and beyond to include us again this year, even though they had very limited space available. This was our biggest event last year, crushing even our best numbers from Otakon. Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center proved to be a very convenient location, but parking at the Gaylord can be difficult in the afternoon. MAGFest has graciously provided us with a free table and four free dealer badges in their Marketplace area. Traffic will be very heavy on Friday and Saturday. MAGFest has some required staffing hours, but the Marketplace is open 24 hours during the event. For this first year, we plan to staff the table for the minimal hours, but will extend our hours on Saturday evening as compared to last year. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE SECTION ABOUT FOOD AND POTTY BREAKS - THE GAYLORD IS NOT AS CONVENIENT FOR FOOD AS THE BALTIMORE CONVENTION CENTER OR THE WALTER E. WHITE CONVENTION CENTER! COVERAGE Since this event has minimum expected coverage hours, it's very important that you are on time for your shift. Please let @Sarah know immediately if you don't think you'll be on time for an opening shift. PARKING There is plentiful parking in the area within convenient walking distance. It is unlikely you will need to walk more than about 5 blocks. It is strongly recommended that you pre-purchase parking so it is not sold out prior to your volunteer shift. Parking can be purchased through National Harbor's parking reservation site here: https://nationalharbor.clickandpark.com/venue Parking will cost between $14 and $20 per day. Reserving your parking ensures you will have in/out privileges during the time you are parked. Volunteers who will be driving to the convention will incur out-of-pocket parking expenses. These parking expenses will not be reimbursed, however they can be written off at your end-of-year tax return as volunteer expenses. Please be sure to request a receipt if you use cash-paid event parking. Retain a copy of your receipts for your tax records. PUBLIC TRANSIT I was unable to locate useful Public Transit information for getting to National Harbor. It appears that shuttle services are available from Reagan National Airport. It may be best to travel as close as possible to the area via MARC train and hire an Uber/Lyft/Taxi to your final destination. ATTENDING PANELS, CONCERTS, EVENTS, AND EXPLORING THE CONVENTION If the badges are similar this year, they include access to all convention content, but will have a vendor flag attached to them. During your volunteer shift (especially since coverage is going to be minimal), you are not permitted to use your badge to attend events or panels. You are expected to be present at the table and actively recruiting future Extra Life participants. Before or after your volunteer shift, you are welcome to explore the convention. If you attend an event, please be sure to remove/conceal your Extra Life name badge. Before, during, and after your shift — especially every minute that you wear that convention badge — you are representing Extra Life, Johns Hopkins Children's Center, and the Extra Life Baltimore Guild (and in this area, Children's National as well). MAGFest has generously waived their fees for us in order to make it possible for us to attend and volunteer at this event. It is very important that we maintain a great relationship with the staff at MAGFest so that we can continue to attend. Remember, you are representing a children's charity. None of us would judge you for attending certain 18+ events, but you shouldn't be attending it using a badge donated for professional use. Use common sense, and check with @Sarah if you aren't sure if the panel or event you'd like to attend is appropriate. LUNCHES AND POTTY BREAKS If you need to take a quick bathroom break and you do not have backup coverage at the booth, please take any loose valuable items with you (i.e. laptops, tablets, cell phones). There will be a small lock box available in our booth as well. If you have backup coverage at the booth and need to leave to get food or take a bathroom break, please be courteous and let the other volunteer know that you are leaving the table. The Gaylord is notoriously expensive to purchase food at, the number of vendors inside the Convention Center is limited, and the lines are horrible. Seeking food offsite includes an inconvenient walk and even longer lines. If you don't bring food, you may not have an opportunity to eat. This is the number one issue with the Gaylord National Resort! Please be sure to pack snacks or a decent, fulfilling lunch and plenty of beverages. Better yet, bring a water bottle. You will have opportunities to refill it throughout the convention. SIGNING UP TO VOLUNTEER This event is almost fully staffed, but we need an experienced opener on Friday to replace @Sarah due to some last minute mandatory work obligations. We need one volunteer minimum per shift to start off with, however extra coverage during periods would be appreciated! For additional details, please message @Sarah, @NodnarbDude or @Ceraph1216. Volunteers will receive ongoing updates and instructions throughout the week and during the convention. Thanks so very much for donating your time and energy for the kids!

    Epic Games is rolling in cash courtesy of Fortnite, the cool thing the kids are playing these days (or so some cool kids tell me). What exactly has it done with all of that moola? Use it to start a digital storefront designed to compete with the likes of Steam and Good Old Games. "For the past five years, we've been building tools enabling Epic to bring our games directly to players. We built the Epic Games launcher on PC and Mac featuring Fortnite and Unreal Engine; we built a worldwide digital commerce ecosystem supporting dozens of payment methods; and we gained great economies of scale thanks to Fortnite's growth," said Tim Sweeney in his initial announcement of the Epic Games Store. All of this has put Epic Games on track to launch their storefront. The main selling point that Epic Games wants everyone to be aware of is their dedication to showing fairness to developers who sell games on their platform. A major part of their announcement states that all developers will earn 88% of the revenue from sales on the Epic Games Store, a piece of information that was accompanied by a chart comparing an their 12-88 revenue split to Steam's 30-70 (or 30-55 in some cases) split. The graphic also makes it clear why Epic Games is pursuing a piece of the digital distribution market: Devs that make use of Unreal Engine 4 automatically pay 5% of their game's revenue to Epic, but if Epic sells those games on their own platform, they can up that cut to 12% regardless of game engine, all while getting good PR for sharing more revenue with developers who sell through their store. It's a win-win relationship for Epic and those who sell through them. Given that Epic now has strong ties to an entire generation of gamers through Fortnite and the Epic Games launcher, this makes complete sense. They have the technological infrastructure, a readily available pool of customers, and the unique position to reap larger profits while attracting more developers. Another benefit will be a more curated atmosphere that lacks on a service like Steam that has already opened the development floodgates for practically anything to make it onto the platform. Sweeney wrote that the service will help devs reach their players by giving users a newsfeed that will update with information and updates from developers. Developers will also be able to reach out to streamers, vloggers, and bloggers through Epic's Support-A-Creator program to help get the word out about up-and-coming indies. The somewhat murky part of this is that through this program content creators will be able to receive a cut of the revenue (determined by the developer) from purchases made using their referral links. The first 24 months of the service will see Epic Games covering the first 5% of the revenue shared with content creators, so that's pretty neat. Sweeney's announcement was a bit lacking in details regarding exactly when the service would launch, though more details will be coming on Thursday, December 6 during The Game Awards. The Epic Games Store will first launch for PC and Mac before spreading to Android devices and beyond over the next year. Are you excited for a new digital store in the mix?     Members of PlayStation Plus will be receiving a treasure trove of great games this month. Each of the currently active consoles connected with the service will be receiving two games each, and they're all incredibly solid and fun ones. The headliners for the month are definitely the PlayStation 4 titles. users will have the chance to snag the existential horror game SOMA as well as team racing title Onrush. SOMA comes courtesy of Frictional Games, the studio behind Penumbra and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It weaves a strange and unique tale about sentience, robotics, and the nature of being, forcing players to grapple with questions that might threaten to keep them up all night. It's a horror game, certainly, but the horror largely eschews jump scares and instead builds its dread slowly, in a way that sticks with you long after the credits roll. Oh, and it is all at the bottom of the ocean, just in case you were looking for more water in your games. Meanwhile, Onrush stands as a unique racing game that doesn't determine winners by who comes in first place. Instead, racers are divided into teams and win the various modes by performing enough stunts (Overdrive), passing enough checkpoints (Countdown), staying within a certain area on the race track (Lockdown), or a battle mode where each player has three lives (Switch). Onrush was developed by members of the same team that worked on the Motorstorm series. PlayStation 3 players will gain access to Steredenn: Classic, a sidescrolling roguelike and Steins;Gate, an adventure game/visual novel involving time travel that has spawned manga and anime adaptations in the years since it released. Steredenn: Classic, if you've never heard of it, is similar to games like classic spaceship shooters like R-Type, but with a more modern style and roguelike elements that make each playthrough unique. Without spoiling anything about Steins;Gate... it's good, definitely check it out for some compelling drama and branching storylines. Finally, the PlayStation Vita is getting some love! This month, PlayStation Plus members can download Iconoclasts, a sidescrolling metroidvania released this year (crazy, a game released on Vita in 2018!). Users can also grab Papers, Please, the highly acclaimed indie game from Lucas Pope, the developer who recently released Return of the Obra Dinn. Both games are truly quality indie games and it warms the cockles of my cold heart to see them available to a lot of people on the Vita. Don't forget to sign up for Extra Life to help sick and injured kids in hospitals around the US and Canada by playing games!

    Completely forgot to come and check this thread again until now! Got it sorted with some messing around with changing country and zip codes to match, choosing the hospital and then switching myself back to the UK! Phew! Now to play some games!

    You are a saint, sir. All I really want every year are the text files so that I can change how they look to suit my design. So many of the other apps available force design/colour/font choices on me. Edit: I'm sorry but I'm not educated enough to run this application. I downloaded that Node program but it's just a command prompt? I don't understand anything I'm looking at in that zip package. Update: MajorLinux helped me, it turns out I had to use the command prompt in Windows to run this, Notepad to edit in my Extra Life participant ID. It works, thanks again! Update: I also figured out how to edit the file so it spits out team info instead of participant, which was my ultimate goal! Replace user ID with team ID, then edit a couple lines of code so it points to the teams directory instead of the participant directory.

    I'm pressed for time over the next few weeks because of Extra Life and other personal stuff so I'm really glad you had a friend who could make the minor changes for your custom clock. I probably won't merge this as an official option until more people request it since the Helper's list of configuration options is growing, but I will leave the pull request open as a reference and example. When a new donation is received, the donation message will be read with text-to-speech during the donation alert. You can choose one of three different voice styles or disable it.     It's not recommended that you collect funds in that manner but to use the the participant page or the mobile fundraising application to engage your friends and family! We realize the appeal and are looking into the possibility of using the Facebook fundraising integration for future campaigns.

    Greetings, Philly gamers. Who am I? I am a dad of two amazing kids who has employed the services of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (and will likely do so again at some point). I have friends and extended family who have also depended on the services CHOP provides. As such, I have a growing number of reasons to want to support a hospital that does so much for the kiddos. But what to do? . . . I discovered Extra Life during the 2017 Greater Philadelphia Comic Con. I stumbled upon the Extra Life table while wandering the expo floor. I was puzzled at first, wondering why anyone would pay someone to play games. Once I got past the newness of the idea and convinced myself that it was no different than getting paid to run/bike/swim for a cause, I decided that to find a way to participate in an Extra Life event. I wasn't sure where to look for support. In April 2017, I posted to a Facebook gaming group, the Invictus Stream, of my interest in Extra Life. Harlan Guthrie, one of the group's founders, took up my suggestion with extreme gusto with only the gentlest of nudges. The Invictus Stream raised over $5000 for various Children's Miracle Network hospitals in 2017. My first Extra Life was a super special day, and I knew that I wanted to participate again. Which brings me to 2018 and beyond . . . @Kevin Doctimus I am keeping my Extra Life 2018 small, but I am totally down with helping to organize a small to mid to large scale event for 2019. Cheers

    Hello, I am a Senior at Prairie Ridge High School, in the school's capstone Engineering class, Engineering Design and Development (PLTW). My group has chosen to work on a product for people that can't use or have trouble using standard controllers. Our first step in the engineering process is to validate the problem exists.     I know this post was originally made almost a year ago, but Microsoft's Adaptive controller was made with a bunch of input from various organizations that help people with disabilities game again. It's a really cool piece of tech, and if anyone out there is looking for said groups, a bunch of them are listed in the article I linked.

    Hey guys! I just stumbled across this feature, and I am so happy I did! This will be my sixth year doing a stream and I've been looking for something functional and user friendly; this hit the nail on the head. I'm looking to implement one of the animated gifs that EL provides in their broadcaster kit for whenever someone donate. Can someone give some insight into how I can add this in? I'm sorry if this is a repeat question that someone else asked. It's a rather long thread and I haven't seen it, but if it is already posted and answered, please link me! I can't seem to find it.     We definitely appreciate the cautious attitude and questions. Regarding how Extra Life functions, it is as we say, the hospital sees the entirety of the donations made to it's participants. The amount of the donation made to an Extra Life participant is always made to the hospital that they support! The fee is not deducted from the donation, but covered by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The $19 fee to upgrade your account helps offset the cost of the actual incentives you receive when you reach fundraising milestones (t-shirt, sticker, medals, etc).     Any iRacers out there interesting in putting together and/or participating in an Extra Life series? Here's a quick sketch of my thoughts: Series of short races over 24 hrs on a mix of oval and road courses. Seek out race sponsors to supply a purse which is paid to winning drivers' chosen hospitals. Focus on base content (and some very widely used tracks) to lower barriers for entry I'd love to get a good group of Extra Lifers involved with this before I started reaching out to the iRacing community. The first order of business would be nailing down a date, series rules, and a broadcast partner. From there we can seek out drivers from the iRacing community and get them involved in Extra Life. If you're interested, reply here! Let's make this happen!

    What's this??? That's right, the Peterbilt 579 Stand-Up Cabin Extra Life Freight mod. (I'm currently re-working a couple of things for the day-cab.)
