A Twitch Channel For The Guild

Recommended Posts

I've made a Twitch channel for us to use if we ever want to do charity streams or anything of the sort. You can find it here.

The wonderful thing about it is that we can add authorized streamers who get their own unique stream key to use in OBS Studio or XSplit. That means people can be added or removed without worrying about the key being used my anyone unintentionally or the password being given out.

There's so much we can do with this, including adding links to sign up for Extra Life, donate to Extra Life or even join a team if we decide to make one. I've gone ahead and reserved the username ExtraLifeHamilton for it.

The possibilities are truly endless. If anyone wants to be added to the list, then just private message me your email and a link to your Twitch channel and I'll add you and put you in the description.

If anyone has any suggestions feel free to post them, as this is for all of us. Also if anyone want's to help design some thumbnails for the stream it'd be awesome!

Since this is a shared channel I think we should have a schedule for when we would like to use the channel to stream. I mean so we don't knock off someone else if we feel like streaming.

I'd suggest if we have enough interested we can set up dedicated times for everyone as well as free times that can be first come first serve. I understand the latter might be harder to do, but I also understand that some of us might not be able to stream at the same set time each week.

Lastly. I know our game interests will be different, so do we play whatever we would like or do we limit ourselves to our main game preferences, or do we call a claim on certain games? For example do we have only one of us play Call of Duty even if multiple of us enjoy streaming it? I'm personally for anyone playing whatever they want even if games overlap.

Thoughts? Ideas? Concerns?

I'm definitely up for setting up a schedule. But at the moment it's be best to communicate with each other until there's more people involved.

As for games, I think we should stick to games that wouldn't require setting the stream to 'mature audiences only'. I think it might be a bit weird to play Mortal Kombat or other violent games. Preferably keeping it to games rated 'T' by the ESRB at the highest.

Language is another point. I understand sometimes words slip out l, but we should keep it to an absolute minimum as to not offend anyone.
