The Best Games Period - Episode 17 - Red Dead Redemption

This week the wild bunch reunites to dive into the wild, wild west for a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly of Rockstar Games' 2010 high noon classic Red Dead Redemption. The searchers make some surprising discoveries about whether the open range western should be considered one of the best games period or remain unforgiven. Look, I really like westerns, okay?

Each week we will be tackling a video game, old or new, that at least one of us believes deserves to stand as one of the greatest games of all time. We'll dive into its history, development, and gameplay, while trying to argue for or against the game of the week. Sometimes we will be in harmonious agreement, other times we might be fighting a bitter battle to the very end. However each episode shakes out, we hope that everyone who listens will find the show entertaining and informative.

I am a sucker for a good western game. Or even a bad one. I just want my character to smoke a cigarillo and have a six-shooter. Pkew.

I 100% agree, @herobyclicking. That's why Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is everything I ever wanted.

I was pretty surprised how fun that game was. It covered all my favorite western themes (or tropes), captured gunslinging so well. I need to finish that one...
