We haven't heard much about the remaster of the PlayStation 1 since its announcement at PSX late last year. The title is expected to be a full, top-to-bottom revamp along the same lines as the Crash Bandicoots and Spyros that are all the rage these days, complete with new assets and up to 4K resolution support.
In a recent appearance on PlayStation Blogcast, Sid Shuman, Sony's social media director, revealed that the company expects the MediEvil remake to release "in the next week or so." This likely puts the game on track for release near Halloween, if not the day of everyone's favorite spooky holiday. Shuman also said that the head of worldwide studios at Sony, Shawn Layden, would be making an announcement soon on the podcast, so we will likely be hearing more concrete details in the days to come.
RIP easily, friends, it appears Sir Dan will be returning from the grave quite soon.
