Xbox 360 backwards compatibility has been a pleasant surprise for the Xbox One due to its exceptional performance and a constantly growing library of compatible titles. Earlier this year it was revealed that Phil Spencer, Microsoft's head of Xbox, really values the idea of backwards compatibility. That vision appeared again at the Xbox's E3 media briefing, where the publisher announced they're expanding the initiative even further by making original Xbox games playable on the One.
Cult favorite Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge was revealed as the first confirmed compatible Xbox title. Spencer touted that Xbox games will "look and play better across the Xbox One family." Additionally, Microsoft confirmed the process will be as simple as playing 360 games on the One. Simply pop in your old Xbox discs and they'll work. More impressive is that cross-generation system link play will allow players to connect multiple Xbox's, from the original to the One X, together to play LAN multiplayer for OG Xbox titles.
Xbox backwards compatibility is slated to roll out this fall. What Xbox titles would you like to see made playable on Xbox One?
