In a world where steam-powered machinery replaces the technology that we know today, androids live in a civilization that once could have been Paris. This is the setting for Evodant Interactive's new RPG, Gyre: Maelstrom. The steampunk RPG moves in real-time, pitting players against a ticking, ever evolving clock. Players can explore a "mechanical post-futuristic dystopia" based in the mid-1800s.
The non-linear, non-scripted narrative presents choices to the player depending on their choice of gameplay, whether that be combat heavy, politically focused, or casual exploration. The 8 million NPCs have goals and motives that the player may be helping or hindering based on their decisions. In layman's terms, the game will play on without you.
Choose from three different characters to play and parkour through the architectural wonders of a steam-born world.
Gyre: Maelstrom releases in 2017 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
