UPDATED INFO CAN BE FOUND HERE:

UPDATED:  10.7..2015 (NOW OPEN)

Extra Life United is an annual gathering of committed Extra Lifers.  Our 2016 event, announced a couple of weeks ago, will be held at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, FL on Feb 23-26.  Participants will experience the mission of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, meet fellow Extra Lifers from all over the world, and will compete in gaming events to win a ton of money for their local CMN Hospital.  For a better feel for what Extra Life United is all about, check out the video at the bottom of this post.

Registration for Extra Life United 2016 IS NOW OPEN to the Extra Life community. YOU CAN REGISTER AT THIS LINK

Exactly 500 tickets to this event will be available on a first-come first served basis.  You must be a registered Extra Lifer to attend ELU.

The registration fee of $199 for ELU 2016 includes select meals during the tournament, entry fee, event shirt, and many Momentum events. During registration, participants may also add spectator passes for $49 each.  Spectator passes are not currently available as a standalone purchase

The registration site will also provide you with some suggestions and information on lodging and airfare selection, as well as providing answers to what we believe will be frequently asked questions.

As a reminder, there will be three tracks to choose from during the registration process.  You may pick one track during registration.  Those tracks are:

  • Board/Tabletop Gaming
  • Video Games (PC)
  • Video Games (Console)

The exact lineup of games we'll be playing at ELU is still being put together, but please don't let that hold you back from registration.  While very much a tournament, any previous ELU attendee will tell you there is much much more to the experience.

Remember, we have only a limited number of tickets available, and when they're gone, they're gone.

For a preview of what's in store for you at ELU 2016, check out this awesome recap video from our event last year, made by all-star Extra Lifer Steve Mathis.

Hi Finch,

There are a limited number of "Tori's Angels" tracks that will probably go pretty quickly.  While we never know what is going to happen with something like this, we feel like anyone who wants to register tomorrow will be able to.  We are not anticipating an immediate sellout.  That said, it's always best to be safe and get in as early as you can.

Is the registration fee in US or Canadian Funds? Also on that topic Extra Life really needs to look at an alternate method of donation for Canadian Extra Lifer's, The Exchange rate can be killer, which is why we worked with our hospital and Perry Esler to come up with a work around.

@Codex Spectator passes are exactly like is says. Just a spectator, will be able to attend all the momentum events (Champions getting their medals and being announced, and all the jazz I believe) But they do not get to participate in the event.

ex: I pay to attend and participate. I can pay an extra $50 to get my significant other, or my dad (whoever I want) to tag along to experience the event but not participate for the money.

But like it says, they are not standalone.

I'll guarantee you the fee is in U.S. funds. And the exchange rate is easy to work with... but this isn't the place to debate that point.

Will the first day (23 Feb) be much the same as last year? Arrivals, registration in the evening, etc?

Yes but some additional funs and learnings.  with about 10 times the people!

so excited to be participating. Im  little nervous going alone and not knowing anyone but hopefully ill make friends. The event is at the perfect time, I will be there the weekend before for the Disney princess race that also benefits CMN. A week full of charity what could be better.

If there are any other youtubers or streamers going let me know :)

Thank you for taking the leap with us.  There are about 30 or so of our attendees from last year that are coming and I'm hoping you hear from some of them soon.

8bitnoob -

It's a blast. I went in solo last year, and was very happy with my experience. All of the people involved are total sweethearts, from the staff to the game participants. I made sixty-plus new friends the first year, and the next one is looking to be bigger and better.

Just say hi, and you are pretty much set.

I look forward to seeing you, all the new folk and the returning gang too in February!

Going from 64 to 500 is quite a goon squad... I think the good times are going to get that much larger, too.

:D

You may be going there alone, but you won't be alone once you're there. You will, I'm sure fall quickly into the cadre of Extra Lifers and meet some of the most amazing people you'll ever know.  You'll make friendship bonds that you will most likely take with you forever, and have the greatest time doing so.

Enjoy this trip, I did last year, and as a Guild Leader got to collaborate with some of my fellow leaders on what were were doing in our guild and learning what they were doing with theirs. It definitely can be a learning/growing experience.

I went alone last year, had no idea what I was getting into, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. Not only did I get to meet a bunch of cool fellow extra lifers, I got to meet champions from every state, play in a tournament, win money for my hospital, and...it is at disney world!

You will have a blast. I'll see you there.

Hi noob!

I came down last year not knowing a soul.  I'm not the most socially-minded person to begin with, so I had a bit of trepidation about mixing and mingling with a complete group of strangers.  But here's the thing:  everybody there shares the common bonds of love of gaming, and love of helping out the kids.  Everybody I met had a heart the size of Jupiter, and the camaraderie formed naturally and beautifully.  When all was said and done, I left with a ton of people I'm proud to call my friends.

I think you'll be alright ?

I went alone last year too!  One other ELer from my local guild went, so I knew one face, but I met so many more.  Lots were streamers and YouTubers of various degrees of e-famousness.  We had an absolute BLAST, and made a ton of friends.  To the point where we created a Facebook group just for the alumni of the event so we could more easily keep in touch.  It'll be great, and I look forward to meeting you and hanging out with you!

Trust me, you will make friends. I expanded my community by about 60 people all said and done. Looking forward to meeting you this year.

@8bitnoob Like everyone else said, don't worry you'll make tons of friends.

But like everyone else has done, I will share my experience as well. Lets just start off, I was one of the younger ones to attend ELU in its inaugural year (Except for the few who were younger which wasn't many, and I was 21 when I went). I didn't know anybody personally, just knew of them from the grapevine. I was nervous, this being my first time flying ever, and pretty much going somewhat far away. Didn't know what to expect, just knew when i saw this event I had to go. I arrived in florida and must say, was greeted with open arms from every single Extra Lifer that went. Its a family pretty much, once you get to know these lovely people you aren't going to forget them, or get rid of them. No matter how hard you try. I cannot wait to reconnect and see a lot of familiar faces from last year, and meet new ones as well. I feel like my Facebook friends list will be growing by about 300+ this coming February lol.
